I recently moved my belongings to another storage company, and doing so made me realize how bad my experience was at Extra Space Storage. When I first moved my belongings into the unit, I noticed that the facility did not appear to be properly cleaned. There was a DISGUSTING moth ball smell throughout the property that stuck onto my items, and I repeatedly noticed roaches around the facility. While moving my belongings out, I found several empty roach egg cases inside my unit and around my belongings. I also found a piece of tape that had been left hanging from one of my items, and there were a large number of newly hatched baby ROACHES underneath it. I also encountered a very large roach while I was there. I am extremely concerned about the condition of the facility and the impact this has had on my belongings. I paid $49 per month for approximately a year, and now a large portion of my belongings has had to be thrown away because of the condition they were found in. I also have concerns about security. People who appear to be without housing have been able to access the property, and I have personally seen people spending extended periods of time around the units. This made me uncomfortable when accessing my belongings. I am very disappointed that I paid $49 A MONTH for an entire year and am now dealing with damaged and discarded belongings. I believe Extra Space Storage should address the sanitation, pest control, and security concerns at this location, and I am requesting reimbursement for the money I paid given the condition in which my belongings were found. I would strongly recommend inspecting the facility carefully before storing your belongings here. I would post the photos of the roaches however google keeps shadow banning this post
