Caring makes a difference. Storage space is the same at one place as it is at another, but the people who work there make all the difference. I recently had a problem where I moved my son out of New York (he left U of Rochester) and left his stuff in storage at Extra Space Storage. Fast forward several years and a serious mental health diagnosis and I let the storage unit go up for auction …until my son realized he had a personally valuable item to be sold in the storage unit. Doreen worked tirelessly with me to help retrieve that item, respecting everyone’s privacy and the buyer’s rights, but still helping me get my son’s personal item back. I am very grateful for her help and the fact she took the time to help and actually care about something when she didn’t have to.
