Seems like Extra Space Storage is a trash company to work for because their staff turnover rate is high. In addition to that, they advertise as "climate controlled" however it's hard to control the climate of a storage unit facility when the huge garage-like door is constantly either broken or open. NOT only that but that's not the most secure facility with that door open. The elevator breaks at least once a year and only one of the elevators goes to the 4th floor, coincidentally that's the same elevator that generally breaks. The elevator also drops roughly an inch while opening the door (concerning). If you have a business and 24hr access (you have to pay additional money for that) getting your code to work is a shot in the dark; sometimes it works and sometimes doesn't. Rat traps ALL THROUGHOUT the facility sometimes appearing more than once within a ridiculously small area. LAST BUT NOT LEAST. LETS TALK ABOUT HOW THEY RUN THEIR BUSINESS!!!! This company will RANDOMLY raise your rate with NO NOTICE (go ahead and get someone to reserve you another unit online which will in turn lower it back) They will NOT pro rate your rate if you move out early (for example, you could pay the monthly rate then only use it for two weeks) and will continue to auto charge your card regardless of if you've given them permission to actually do so. If you don't have auto pay on, they have NO BUSINESS operating as if you did. OH, and read the small print on the insurance - sometimes the roof leaks (good luck on actually utilizing the "insurance")
