Raleigh Self Storage at 2401 S Wilmington St

The associate behind the desk was very friendly and very nice for being first thing in the morning. You could never tell it she was so kind and sweet.

The storage units are kept very clean and well maintained. The staff is very helpful. Easy to maintain and pay account online. I will continue to use Life Storage for my storage needs.

Great customer service

So a couple of days ago I had the worst experience downtown Raleigh at the Life Storage complex on West South Street. Never in my life had I experienced this kind of bad customer service before and believe me in all my life I've seen some bad customer service. At any rate, I called the 1-800 number to lodge a complaint but it still didn't help my dilemma which was I needed an affordable storage space because I was moving and I needed to solidify something quick. At any rate, the young lady point me in the direction of the Life Storage complex on South Wilmington Street in Raleigh. Being a little apprehensive I didn't know if I was going to go through the same thing there that I went through at the other one but everybody is different so I decided to go there and give them a chance. I called ahead of time and spoke with a young lady by the name of Samantha, Sam for short. After reading the notes in the system she was aware of how I was treated at their sister store downtown Raleigh. Even over the phone she made me feel like a customer again and welcome me to come to her facility. Upon arrival to the facility I walked in the door and was greeted with a smile and without knowing who she was I told her that I was there for Sam. She advised me that she was in fact Sam and that she was eager to work with me. The difference was clear already and I had only been there a few seconds. Granted I was very frustrated but I was not going to take my frustration out on her especially since she was actually trying to help me secure a storage locker. I explained to her that my only reason for going to the downtown location was that they were running a special and that it was a very good price point so in this economy every little bit helps. After checking prices at her facility they were pretty decent but they were also close to $20 more and I'm sure demographics and storage vacancy has a lot to do with the pricing. Even though I didn't like the attitude and the professionalism of the other manager at the downtown facility, I was willing to try again just to take advantage of the savings. As I went over my experience at the other store with Sam, she advised me that she could help me but that her price point would be different from theirs downtown. At any rate I wanted to go see the locker and she took me upstairs to see it unlike the downtown location that just showed me a color diagram which didn't help me at all ??. So, since Sam's personality and demeanor was so professional I asked her if she could honor the same deal as her sister's store? She advised me that she would need to check with her District Manager. I smiled and said to her that she was truly a way maker and that she could do anything! She made a couple phone calls and after speaking with someone else for clarity, she managed to not only match the price, but she went above and beyond! I just want to say that if more companies had employees like Sam, then regardless of what people are going through; a smile and personality such as Sam's, always makes things go better! Hat's off to Sam and her DM, "Tyler" who approved the request!

Jordan was absolutely a delight and so very helpful. The unit is large and the area is clean.
