FIND ANOTHER STORAGE FACILITY!!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!! Upon purchasing the unit, service was great. Less than 6 months in my rate almost doubled. I should have left then, but I didn't. Then, in June my husband went into the location to make a payment and they ran his card twice on accident as he receives text messages when his card is charged. I don't remember exactly how they explained it, but they said they we were good, they said they annotated our account and we were ok. As I was driving by in July I saw a red lock on my unit. So, I stopped in to make a payment. The young lady stated that our account was good and she's still waiting for "them" to correct the account but we're good. I asked her, "are you sure because I stopped to make a payment just in case". She reassured me all was well. My husband went in again and made the payment for August on 8/7/26. On 8/15/26, I received a call asking when I would be able to make a payment because my unit was up for foreclosure for Sep 3. They said the balance was ~$450. We explained the situation, sent them the screenshot of the confirmation text messages from the other payment and they said they needed the actual bank statement. At this point, I'm very irritated and confused. The young lady explained that they'd waive the late fees and foreclosure fees because we were not late as we had been in there every month and the error was on their end. I told her we'd be in within the next week or so to pay it. The total cost she said was ~$290. Long story short, we did the same song and dance with another employee but this time he said that I had to sign a payment arrangement. I told him I'm not signing it because of what the document said and he said that in order to start the process for them to correct my account I had to sign it. So, I did. He said he annotated my account and would call us back in a day or 2. 3 days later I receive another call inquiring about when I can make the remainder of the payment. Another song and dance with a different person, he said he'd request a status and get back to me....that was on Tuesday. Since no one called me I called them on Saturday only to be told that I still owe fees and the balance is ~$415. Song and dance again, now I'm waiting to hear back again. Storage is set for foreclosure in October. If I could trust that they'd truly correct the error I would pay the ~$415, but I don't. As a Retired Veteran, I feel as though I'm being taken advantage of.
