We were so excited to find this place at first. The price was excellent, the unit was temperature controlled, it fit our belongings perfectly, and we felt very safe storing our things here. Unfortunately, just 2.5 months into renting, we received an email letting us know that our rent would be nearly doubling in one month due to “marketplace competition.” Only 2.5 months after moving in, and you’re already increasing the rent by that much? That’s ridiculous. We specifically chose this facility based in part on the advertised price, and now we’re having to pack everything up and move to another storage facility after barely being here. Other storage companies we’ve looked at offer rate guarantees for at least six months, which makes this experience even more disappointing. The facility itself was great, and we would have happily stayed. But such a drastic price increase after only a couple of months completely undermined our trust in the company. I would strongly recommend asking how long your quoted rate is guaranteed before renting here—or looking for a company with more transparent and customer-friendly pricing.
