To protect your goods from the sometimes harsh Chicago weather, all of our more than 500 units are climate-controlled and we have heated garages to make accessing your goods easier in the winter months. Our units range in size from 5’x 5’ to 15’x 30’ with high ceilings; our knowledgeable storage specialists can help you determine the unit that fits your storage needs. Because we value our customers’ security, our facility has motion detection cameras providing 24-hour video surveillance. We also want to make your move easier so we’ve implemented convenient features like drive aisles wide enough for semi-trucks and drive-up units. Our extended gate hours, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., are longer than most other storage facilities and allow you to access your belongings when you need them. We are located off Tollway 90, the Roosevelt exit coming from the south and the Des Plaines exit from the north. We are near Tollway 94 and very close to the University of Chicago, Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. Our building dates to 1887. It survived the Chicago fire and became a part of the Extra Space Storage family in 2005.
