The location is easy to find and get to. The building is near spotless, and the employees I have met so far seem to really want to help. My only negative is the survey form. They insist EVERY block is filled in. I don't have an answer for every question.

This is a great storage unit. Brand spanking new, modern, with A/C, sparkling polished floors, and the owner is fantastic to deal with. The one negative is the lip that catches the moving cart by the main entrance, but the overall benefit outweighs this one nuisance.

I sold my home and will be traveling for a while. I needed a place to store the stuff I was not taking or getting rid of. I chose Extra Storage Space for convenience and the amazing customer service I received. From start to finish I felt respected and appreciated. I highly recommend this facility.

Buyer beware! Extra Storage uses their spin of the classic bait and switch scheme where they lure you in with a competitive rate and then within 4-5 months they raise the storage rate 15%! I called to inquire why and was told that typically rates are raised after 5 months BUT won't be raised again for 9 months. So if you plan on keeping the unit for about year you can figure a 30% rate increase!!

Great new facility in the Belterra / Dripping Springs area. Exceptionally clean. Easy to access and load in / out with drive up units and freight sized elevators for upper floors. Very secure with codes that only allow you to access the floor of your storage unit. All units are climate controlled and located inside one, large standalone building. There are a variety of sizes to choose from and the prices are comparable or less than other options nearby. No long term contracts required. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff that take care of any need you have.

Great customer service. David made it easy to finalize the paperwork electronically. He walked me to the storage unit so I would know its location. He also helped me with the cylinder keys to get accustomed to them.

Directions from the North:
If you are coming from downtown Austin, head south on IH35 and take the exit for Hwy 290 West. You will go until the highway ends, cross William Cannon Drive, and go left at the "Y" at Hwy 71. We are 3.2 miles past the "Y" on the left hand side of the road. The last stoplight before us is Circle Drive. You will pass the Rusty Mule on the same side of the street and we are directly across the street from the Valero gas station. There is a flashing yellow light at the cross street of Derecho Ln. There is a small strip center next to us and you may enter the property from the strip center driveway, or turn onto Derecho and enter from the side.

Directions from the South:
If you are coming from Kyle, San Marcos, or anywhere south, take IH35 north and take the Hwy 290 West exit. You will go until the highway ends, cross William Cannon Drive, and go left at the "Y" at Hwy 71. We are 3.2 miles past the "Y" on the left hand side of the road. The last stoplight before us is Circle Drive. You will pass the Rusty Mule on the same side of the street and we are directly across the street from the Valero gas station. If you are coming from Bastop or LaGrange, take Hwy 71 west until the highway ends. Cross William Cannon Drive and go left where the highway splits with Hwy 290 West. We are 3.2 miles past that "Y" on the left hand side of the road. The last stoplight before us is Circle Drive. You will pass the Rusty Mule on the same side of the street and we are directly across from the Valero gas station. There is a flashing yellow light at the cross street of Derecho Ln. There is a small strip center next to us and you may enter the property from the strip center driveway, or turn onto Dercho and enter from the side.

Directions from the West:
If you are coming from Dripping Springs, take Hwy 290 east towards Austin. We are 7 miles outside of Dripping Springs on the right hand side. You will pass the Hays/Travis county line and the last stoplight before us is Circle Drive and we are on the same side of the road as Gordo's taco truck and the Rusty Mule. There is a flashing yellow light at Derecho Ln and you can turn right there and enter from the side, or turn into the driveway for the strip center next to us.
