My key access to our storage unit wouldn’t work. When calling to inquire about options my call was dropped. The manager reached out by text and provided me options. Upon completion of lock change the manager text me completion and informed me no charge. WOW!

The 5 scars for Dana C the store manager. I just recently rented a unit with the extra space storage. Yesterday I lost track of time, i had one cart with a mattress, big bag of bedding, in a bag of my clothes that got locked inside of the sliding glass doors. My phone died so I went out to my car. I plugged it in. It took 5 minutes, maybe too charge and start back up. , I called customer service immediately. I had to keep it my phone on the charger on speakerphone while i loaded my car. The after hours, customer service lady that I spoke to at option four I believe which was the emergency gate access, told me that I had to come back at six a m to get my things and from inside of the storage doors and that if the gate didn't open with my code, I was going to have to park my vehicle and walk out the pedestrian exit. So I proceeded to tell her, then why the hell am I calling the emergency Gate customer service line? I'm not leaving my car. she put me on hold. So i'm starting to load my things, she tells me after waiting on fir some time, that she can give me a one time code. I tell her, okay, hold on, let me load this last thing loud as hell, because I know it's on speaker, and when I get back in my front seat, she's gone. So I call back and I get a different lady who tells me i'm going to have to walk after I tell her i just spoke with somebody and was either hung up on or disconnected, that was going to give me an access code to get out. She proceeds to tell me that they usually don't do that.And that I would have to hold. So I sit here holding again, for probably about 10 minutes and I decide. Let me just try my code. Maybe it'll let me out by the grace of god.It lets me out, says late access granted. when the door's locked, it was maybe 10:15pm. I didn't get out of these gates until 10:54pm. When I came in today, my bag of clothes and all of my bedding was gone. I went in and spoke with the manager here, Dana C. He was amazing. I was ready to leave this unit. I explained what happened to him. I explained what happened with the customer service line. There was no note in the system, then that my belongings were right inside those doors.Just that I was a late exit. He genuinely felt bad and wanted to make it right. He gave me a credit for this month and a credit for next month. That doesn't get my belongings back, but it does make a difference. And it makes me stay here for a little while. Longer at least. The five stars are for him. Extra space storage, you need to get some new customer service agents or retrain them or revamp your system or figure it out because you're going to end up losing customers over the they'bullshit. So anybody else that's going to call the customer service at extra space storage beware. If i could leave them a 0 star review. I would.
