Maple Grove Self Storage at 12986 63rd Ave N

The staff was helpful and efficient, the facility is kept clean, and the location was very convenient being 1.5 miles from my home. My main criticisms are. 1) The mobile App remote access for the security entry door was not functional, saying I was not in range when standing right next to it. 2) Having to get out of your vehicle to enter the access code is inconvenient but not critical, however there is no fixed awning or roof over the exterior entry door and code box so I had to stand in the pouring rain several times to enter the access code. An unfortunate oversight that is easily correctable and would improve customer experience. 3) Due to the narrow property lot and building placement, extra parking is limited but did not pose a problem during the short month or so that I used it, however it has the potential to be a problem during a busy period. Similarly, there are only 2 interior bays for loading and unloading, which are good sized but does pose an issue if more than 2 people are needing to load or unload at the same time. 4) The elevator doors only stay open about 6 seconds or so and will start to close on you before you can maneuver your loaded cart/s fully into or out of the elevator so you have to be aligned right and quick to keep it from bumping into you or your load. The right (east) elevator does not stop level with the floor so there is a bump that can stop the cart and shift your load when exiting. Both issues should be corrected.

My experience with Extra Space Storage was PERFECT! I never had any issues, the staff was always helpful from beginning to end. The facility was clean and my storage space was big enough to accommodate all my things. This was a really great location too. I would definitely recommend this storage facility to anyone looking to rent a storage space!!!!!

Being from Michigan driving to Minnesota on a 10 hour trip to do real estate in MN & wanting to get a unit to store items into a storage unit, I’ve never had so much difficulty working with somebody in front desk than I did here. Jeff the manager for the storage facility for Extra at this location: 7340 Fir Ln N Corcoran, MN 55340 United States. Serviced me way better. The lady I spoke too at Maple Grove was rude, consistently tried to speak over me when I talked calmly to see what I needed for the space, when asked about 24 hours access she declined me access for business personnel only which was okay, the issue arises when I requested a refund of my $35 I submitted for 24/7 access that’s when she offered me two different prices in a percentage amount as of refund. This is all in a strand of purchasing a unit in 24 hours, than discriminated me as a black minority & stated my account was suspicious because my ID didn’t not match my second business address that I use in Michigan. As a property manager for iStorage. If your are a minority please be cautious here!
