MICE, MICE, MICE, they have mice. This is where you bring your belongings If you want mice droppings on your stuff and mice to chew up all your stuff. They also have the nerve to hunt you down for a good review from day 1. Day 1 Chris asked me to leave a review. What exactly am I reviewing? I just got here, didn’t even bring not one thing into the unit yet and he’s asking for a review. A couple days later, I’m at work and he calls me in the middle of the workday. I’m thinking something happened with my unit. He’s calling asking for a review…again. I barely brought 5 bins in there at this point. What exactly am I reviewing? Well, I’m glad I waited. Before I brought anything into the unit, I read reviews online and a few of them said that they had mice in their unit. I needed to move my stuff quickly in that moment so I still decided to go with this storage place but I put a few mice traps down before I brought my stuff in. I visited my unit every week since I’ve had it. In the 3rd month of having my unit, I walked in one week and saw a dead mouse on one of the traps that came through the vents. If I had not take it upon myself to bring those traps in, I’d walk in to see all my stuff chewed up and mice droppings all on my stuff like the other reviews had. I called the office and told Chris that I needed someone to remove the mice, which he told me, they don’t do that, I need to do it myself. I’ve never in my life dealt with a mouse before. This disgusting place that clearly does not do any form of pest control is where I had my first encounter ever having to deal with a mice. To say I was upset was an understatement. I told him on Wednesday that I wanted to close my unit out and what would be the amount I would receive back because I paid 4 months upfront. He told me that since I was ONE day past the cut-off, I would be paying for a full month that I would not be using and they would not be refunding anything back to me. I still went and moved out majority of my stuff that could possibly get chewed up and left a few things behind that a mice wouldn’t be able to chew through and took my time getting those out since I was paying for it anyways. This place is also not temperature controlled. It says it is online and I also asked in person and they told me it was. It was extremely hot in there every time I went it. The first few times I thought maybe the air was broken, but it was every single time that I went in there. It was so hot that my work bags got all cracked up. Keep in mind this happened only over a short span of 3 months. It also smells like mildew in there from old carpet. They tell you that you can’t bring your own lock and you have to pay for a lock that you’ll never use again in life because of the type of lock that it is. Also, they double the price for your unit after four months. Chris told me that the price may go up a little after the four months by about $20-$30. That was a lie, the price they sent me in the email doubled what I paid before. Even after they sent me an email about doubling the price, I was still thinking about staying with them but just downgrading to a smaller unit but after seeing that mice, I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
