Went to the facility today to drop some stuff off at my unit. Saw there was a bag by my camper that was parked in a space nearby. Opened the camper to find that my TV had been ripped out, my bedding and lighting was stolen. Talked to the guy at the front desk and he said basically "too bad, file a police report" asked for the managers contact info, he refused to provide it. Said i'm paid through the second after I asked to cancel the lease agreement. No "i'm sorry that happened." No nothing. Had to wait to move it because i didn't have a place ready and the door handle, which i replaced from the first break in, was pried off and my tool box had the corner completely pried open to a 90 degree angle, everything stolen. There is a contingent of homeless people that live just on the other side of the facility near the slaughter bridge. They're breaking in in the morning after they know the cameras are no longer detecting motion. They just jump the gate and steal whatever isn't nailed down. The gate is about 7 feet tall, they just climb onto the vehicles and climb right over. My camper was in the line of vehicles you see as you drive around the corner. My advice is not to park a vehicle here. Also, there's another review in here that states that a camper was stolen. When I initially reported the problem to management they stated that the facility hadn't had any problems in a long time but that there were several in the area that had been hit. I don't believe this is true. When I finally picked up my camper to take it out there was a homeless man screaming in the street on the other side of the fence. I believe the problem is persistent and that people are generally not safe being there alone. So if you feel that you could be overpowered, you may want to take a second person.
