I’ve been using Extra Space Storage since last fall, and overall it’s a decent facility with a convenient location and courteous staff. The property itself is generally clean and easy to access. However, I did run into an issue with my unit. I was assigned what was supposed to be a 5x5 space, but it actually measures closer to 5x4. While I was still able to fit my belongings, I’m being charged for the larger size. I reached out to management about this but haven’t received any response or compensation, which has been frustrating. Another downside is the poor cell signal throughout the facility. This makes it difficult to use the app to open storage doors, especially since the Wi-Fi is only available in the office and not accessible in the storage areas. If your unit is on the first floor or in the basement, getting a signal can be especially challenging. Overall, the facility is fine for basic storage needs, but there are some communication and connectivity issues that could definitely be improved.
