Sacramento Self Storage at 5701 Mack Rd

This Extra Space storage is so much better than the one on florin & Freeport anytime I’m in the south needing a storage I’m going to the extra space on Mack Road. They’re friendly. It’s clean everything‘s quick and hasslefree, i loved it.

My experience with this facility has been a nightmare. The first day that I rented a unit here, It was about 15 minutes past 8 and I got locked in the facility for 4 hours, I couldnt get out of the gate and there was no employee in the office to help or to give me any instructions on how to get out if this situation was to occur. The police were called on me for TRESPASSING..I was completely mishandled by these officers also...2 male officers grabbed me from out of my truck because when they asked me to step out of the car, I told them I was scared to get out of the car and wanted to know why..? I just needed help getting out and I have all of my information/paperwork from the office and my ID..anyways, I ended up going to jail !!. Wow. About 2 weeks later, I went to the extra space storage to put some things inside my unit, I had lost my gate code so I went into the office to get it.. I was with the nastiest attitude from the lady Sarah..her customer service and communication skills were absolutely unprofessional and she was just not approachable at all. About an hour into being at the unit, I had to use the restroom really bad. I am diabetic and I have issues with incontinence daily,, I had an accident and needed to clean myself up and change my clothes really quick so I walk to the office and ask for the bathroom code, Sarah tells me No that I can't use the restroom it's broken and I should try going up the street to the gas station or something. I ended up finishing up with what I needed to do with the unit and I closed the door halfway down so I could at least change my clothes before getting in the car and 2 minutes later, Sarah came banging on the unit door that I am not allowed to have the unit door down while inside of there? ...so I said okay, that I was just changing in my unit since her bathroom was broken...Sarah also tried to say that my dog was barking too much and that he was loose? My dog absolutely never got out of the truck,,not once...and he is strapped to the truck with a metal wire hook 24/7 so it isn't possible for my dog to get loose and run around! He was barking though,...at another dog he heard on the other side of the unit ..anyways..I've only been back to the unit one other time since then I was there for a few minutes to get my laundry out...and I didn't have any issues...so now is TODAY...and I called the automated system to make my payment for the month, and shortly after, I was told by Josh that Sarah was not going to be renewing the rent or the unit with me, that I have caused too many problems at their facility!!!! WHAAAAT....??? Within 1 month I've been there ONLY THOSE ,3 times...since I wasn't given a call from anyone regarding this matter earlier,...I had already made my monthly payment and when I asked if it could be refunded immediately, Josh said he didn't know that he would have to ask the manager...and that he also would have to ask the manager about whatever issues she is claiming to have with me.... So #1 terrible management and customer service #2 closing times are way too early #3 bathrooms are never open or available to customers. #4 gates lock immediately at closing time and police are called by an automated system if you get stuck in there.(later,.they told me to call the 800 number if I got stuck again by the way) #5 The location is in an area that is not worth the high price. It's like zombieland over there!!! I do not recommend this extra space storage location to anyone, at all...ever....

I was robbed and the manager was rude and refused to help.
