Everyone at this location deserves raises! I had an amazing experience with all of the staff including Aliyah and Tiffany. UPDATE HERE: Charles at Extra Space did reach out to rectify the issue promptly. Appreciate our District office intervening so quickly. Folks, just a heads up! Your rental agreement states that the monthly payment could change at any time as long as they give you 30 days notice. I began leasing a storage unit for about $87/month from them in July 2025 and received a notice in early October that my monthly rental rate would be $163 starting in November 2025. I'm in the process of finding another storage facility. While they are operating within their own terms and conditions, a spike of almost double what I was paying 4 months ago is pretty ridiculous. As well, I went to the facility on an evening last week to pull my winter clothes out and the elevator was out of order, so I decided to take the stairs to my unit's floor, but when I got to the 8th floor both of the doors to the floor were locked, so it was a fruitless trip. Turns out the doors were unlocked on the floors below me, which was infuriating and hilarious at the same time. I left them a message about access this week, but never heard back. I'm going to try to head over today and see if I can begin the process of removing items. They have great reviews, but my experience has been kind of awful thus far. Who knows...

We understand your frustration with the rate increase from $87 to $163 per month and recognize that while this falls within our rental agreement terms with 30-day notice, we acknowledge how significant this adjustment must feel after just a few months of service. We also understand your frustration with the access issues you encountered, particularly the elevator being out of order and the doors to the 8th floor being locked when you needed to retrieve your winter clothes, which resulted in a fruitless trip. We recognize how infuriating and inconvenient this situation was for you, especially when you discovered that doors on other floors were accessible. We apologize that you did not receive a response to your message about the access concerns, and we hope you were able to successfully access your unit to begin removing your items as planned.

The customer service at the 14&U location is awesome. I spoke with Charles, Tiffany, and other staff about renting a storage unit and you could tell that they had great communication across the team because they were consistently on the same page as the last person I talked to. They are nice, friendly, and willing to work with me and my moving and storage needs. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
