We are in a hallway in the end of the building. It’s noticeably hotter in our units hallway than everywhere else in the building. The AC wasn’t even running to weeks ago when we went to check. There are ducts in the rest of the building overhead for heating and cooling and there are none in ours. She insists that there is a “vent” in there but would not let my wife see it. There is what appears used to be a return for the AC that has been blocked off. There needs to be adequate ducting and a large enough return in that unit to control moisture and temperature. The AC has been “fixed” but still won’t run well enough to cool below 81 degrees. Trying to explain that the ducting and returns are necessary for an area this size fell on deaf ears with the manager and she insisted that it was working as intended. However she acknowledges that she couldn’t turn the air down any more and that there is a noticeable difference in temperature between the hallways. Zero stars if I could. The manager Melissa sucks. She’s extremely argumentative and will not let you get a word in if there’s an issue. She just talks over you and acts like you don’t know anything and insists that she knows everything. We are in a climate controlled unit. Started paying 160$ a month when we rented and then they informed us it was going up by a 100$ after a couple of months. I’m moving my family out of a 2200 sq ft house into a camper for a year and all of our possessions will be in long term storage during that time. I don’t have time to move my stuff to another unit when I’m up to my eyeballs in moving stuff already. I want my 300$ a month to go to what I’m paying for, which is CLIMATE CONTROL. Melissa’s options were deal or move out.
