• Running equipment on-site

• Operating retail or meeting customers on-site

Can I Use a Storage Unit As a Business Address?

No—a storage unit cannot be used or registered as your official business address. Your business address must be a place where you can legally conduct business, such as your home or office. Alternatively, you can use a P.O. box as your official business mailing address. That said, you can still rent a unit under your company name by completing the Addendum to Rental Agreement for Business Tenants, which requires a Tax ID.

Can I Use a Storage Unit As a Shop or Workshop?

You cannot use a storage unit as a shop or workshop—working or running equipment inside your unit is prohibited. However, business storage units offer ample space to store tools, equipment, office supplies, retail inventory, and other business items.

Can I Meet Customers at My Unit?

We do not allow business tenants to conduct retail or customer-facing operations inside their unit. However, you can still use your storage unit to support customer-facing work happening elsewhere—such as storing excess inventory, supplies, or documents.
